Means-based support, when cost is the only obstacle

Some candidates have the level, the project and the availability, and only the amount stands in the way. Means-based support exists for exactly those situations: it is reviewed on file, at application time, and the answer is written in every case.

A targeted scheme, and it says so

Means-based support pursues one precise aim: removing an identified financial obstacle, where the merit scholarship distinguishes a record. It therefore targets situations where everything else is in place — the level, the project, the weekly availability — and only the amount decides. It is requested during the application, reviewed with the file and answered in writing, with reasoning. Its relationship with the merit scholarship is simple: both are requested at the same moment, and the committee retains whichever best serves the situation.

The situations the scheme targets

Returning to study, self-funded

No employer behind the move, a stated project and genuine availability every week.

A first programme in a family

Nobody has taken this route before you, and the budget is built with no prior benchmark.

A simultaneous family responsibility

The programme runs alongside obligations that weigh on the same monthly cash flow.

A career transition

An income shifting during the programme, which the payment schedule must follow without a break.

How the request is handled

  1. 01

    Request at application

The box sits on the same form as the merit scholarship: one step covers both.

  2. 02

Describe the situation in ten lines

What you are funding, what stays available to you each month, what you are aiming at.

  3. 03

    Committee review

On the same criteria for everyone, in the same round, with both schemes set side by side.

  4. 04

    Written answer and schedule

The answer carries the reasoning and, where support is granted, the schedule that reflects it.

Questions about support

Can both schemes be requested at once?

Yes, and it is even advisable: one extra box, one review, and the committee retains whichever best serves your situation. The written answer states which one and why.

Does support also cover the application fee?

It applies to the year's tuition fees. The application fee pays for the admission work, which takes place before the request is reviewed.

What if my situation changes during the year?

A new schedule is drawn up on the outstanding balance, on a simple written request. The total due stays the catalogue amount, and the calendar adapts to your cash flow.
