Time becomes the scarce resource and the mark scheme becomes the map. An hour spent on an idea already secure is an hour taken from the one that pays. The year is therefore run backwards: start from the paper and its marking, then work back to the topics to consolidate.

They revise a lot, and always the same chapters
Revision naturally drifts towards what is comfortable: you reread what you know, and the feeling of work is genuine. The diagnosis reverses the logic by naming three or four fragile topics, and the plan starts there. Add exam technique — reading the paper, order of attack, time management — which recovers the cheapest marks on the calendar. That pairing of diagnosis and method is what makes the difference at constant working time.

Parents' questions
We are starting late. Is it still worth it?
Yes, and the content of the work changes with the time available: under three weeks, preparation targets exam technique, order of attack and time management, which remain the highest-yield items on the calendar. The tutor states this framing in the first session, so the plan matches the real time left.

Timed practice under real conditions is the main lever: a paper that has become familiar is handled far more calmly. The tutor also works on the order of attack — starting with what is mastered builds confidence for the rest — and on pacing, by splitting the paper into three announced blocks.
